Well everyone, I have had some difficult trials over the past two months, but as always I have turned to music and prayer as my healer. On 5-15-20, my first solo album "The Road Home" celebrated its fifth anniversary! I know many other artists have several albums out, longer than mine has been out. However, THE ROAD HOME is and will always be very special to me. It celebrates my home town of Slatington, growing up in the 80s, and a testimonial to the love I have for everyone in my family.
My first printing was exclusively for Vinyl, so you need to have subtle adjustments to ensure the best pressing. This time around, I had my good friend and producer Kevin Soffera (HYBRID STUDIOS) step in and remaster the entire album for CD and digital. It has a much more powerful sound this time around, and includes two extra tracks of previous singles. With the addition of "With Eagles Might", I can now not only profess my love for my hometown of Slatington, but also my love of this country!
We've also included "When I Close My Eyes" featuring the beautiful and amazingly talented Leah Marie Fuls. The song, co-written with my late and beloved grandmother Meme (Lavon Shoemaker), was intended for the original album, but I simply ran out of time. So now it finds its rightful home in the REVISITED Deluxe Edition.
I wanna take this opportunity to also recognize my original producer BRYAN UNSINGER. He gave this record his heart and soul and I have never forgotten that. We recorded the whole album in one week and worked our butts off, I still can't believe how perfectly he shaped the sound the way I had dreamed the songs should sound. Bryan proved Kevin with the perfect palette to start the remaster.
I hope you all enjoy the new mix, and I assure you the CDS will be here my mid June!! They will be available for purchase in my STORE, and of course my live shows (I pray that happens soon). I hope you enjoy REVISITING my ROAD HOME album and feel the emotions I felt recording it!
LOVE, LIGHT and BLESSINGS,
DAIMON
